Why Did I Create The Warden Circle Pilgrimage?

First, there is a prevalence of power leveling going on in ESO. Many players spend most of their time at the invasion sites, dungeons, and delves. This focus is good to get your character level up, but it keeps the average player from experiencing the rest of the created game. The vast majority of the Tamriel online world is never seen. One of the foci of the Warden Circle Pilgrimage was to get the player to see more of the map and appreciate its beauty. Tamriel is one of the most beautiful worlds created in the gaming community.

Second, power leveling creates a small circle of experience. The Warden Circle Pilgrimage was created to force the player to grind for their progress. If you want to level, then you have to fight for it. Each level now feels like a major accomplishment. This is coupled with creating your own armor and weapons to improve the feeling of gaining trophies. The WCP takes patience. I have been at it for weeks when I write this post and have only cracked level 15.

Third, the grind includes skills. At level 5 you may only add one Green Balance skill and then one each 10 levels afterward. This skill grind makes the game more of a challenge and gives the player the illusion of a growing skill line. The point is to create levels of development as the player progresses through the game. Since one of the complaints of the player base is the ease of the world of Tamriel as a whole, this should make the game a little more interesting.

Fourth, because of the ability to switch between DPS and Healing with a little gold, the player is able to level with way too much ease. One thing you learn to appreciate in a game is not being able to kill an opponent in less than 5 seconds. Now the healer is forced to heal and drain the opponent's life slowly. What I have experienced is more satisfaction with every amount of gold and resources which each kill yields. Every 1,000 gold feels like a fortune. Cosmetics and armor sets are harder to mod now, which gives a sense of accomplishment when you finally get to do it.

Finally, and probably the main reason. ROLE-PLAY! Think of the pride you will have when you do a name change and call your character "of Warden Circle." It will signify great pain and effort, time, and experience of a large fantasy world. You will have read countless lore books and found new cubby holes to use for your story. Think of when people ask you about the title. You will get to explain what you went through to put that title on your name!
